Adam is graciously serving as our vacancy pastor. He says his favorite part of the job is serving the body and blood of Jesus to people--especially to those who can't come to him, because Jesus will never stop going to them! Adam's favorite Bible verse speaks about this, too.
“Yes, I am coming soon.”
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
Adam was born in Breckenridge, MN and has only lived in two large cities. He also has lived in four towns so tiny as to almost not qualify as towns at all! When he was little, he wanted to be a pastor. Over time, he thought about being a lawyer, an engineer, or even a paramedic. Thankfully, Adam felt God calling him into the ministry and we are so happy to have him on staff.
Adam likes to start his day with prayer and Bible reading. When he is not busy being a father to four, Adam likes to relax by going to work, playing music, golfing, and playing Jeopardy! He's a big fan of the Blue Angels and enjoyed seeing them in Fargo this summer. What's his favorite food? Things that aren't spicy!
Mark is our funny guy on staff. He enjoys puns and making Dad Jokes. Mark has been serving churches for years but he wanted to be a baseball player when he was young. He still is a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan because he was born in Missouri. His office is decorated with cardinal fan gear.
His favorite verse is Zephaniah 3:17
"The Lord your God is with you,
the Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight in you;
in his love he will no longer rebuke you,
but will rejoice over you with singing.”
Mark rejoices in working with the college Peer Ministers and in growing in God's Word and helping others to grow in the Word. He can be found in the office early on most days doing personal devotions.
When he isn't working, he enjoys reading. Hit him up for a book recommendation sometime. He also enjoys working out and doing puzzles to relax.
Emily was born in Kalispell, MT and has lived in four cities so far. When she was a little girl, she wanted to be an interior designer, but God led her to church work instead. And our congregation is blessed because of it! Her favorite Bible verse is Psalm 46:10.
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
Emily makes time each day to be still in the presence of God after the kids are in bed. As a busy mom of two, she certainly knows that finding quiet time with God can be challenging. However, motherhood brings wonderful joys. Her favorite memory in the last year was introducing her new baby to her preschooler.
When she is not working with the youth of Our Redeemer Moorhead and seeing their love for Jesus grow, Emily can be found watching Netflix, eating Mexican food, and visiting family.
